This handcrafted artisan wooden bowl was made from my sister’s apricot tree in the Salt Lake (Utah) valley.  The tree had been damaged by apricot borers and needed some trimming.  She saved a few pieces of the tree so I could make something from them.  The cracks in the wood are filled with resin to prevent more cracking and to increase functionality.  You can see some of the holes left by the borers along the edge of the bowl.  This bowl is a decorative piece.  Due to the borer holes in the bowl, this bowl is not recommended for food use.
