The wood tells me what it wants to be.

Welcome
Each piece is hand crafted to bring out its own inherent uniqueness and beauty. Everything you see here is one of a kind, truly artisan woodworking. Even if a piece is made from the same type of wood or even from the same log, it is unique and its own individual. I don't harvest trees to make pieces from. Most of what I make comes from wood that was destined for the burn pile or the dump.
The pieces I currently have available are made from wood from Utah where I lived for many years. However, recently my wife and I moved to Kentucky and soon I will have pieces available made from wood from my new home area.
I make the following items:
Hand turned wooden bowls
Slab tables
Charcuterie/serving boards
Cutting boards
Fractal burned lamps
Other wood items

Sustainability
Sustainability is important to me. I generally use wood from trees that are damaged by storms or trees that homeowners needed to cut down for various reasons. Even construction job site scraps turn into beautiful artisan woodworking pieces. Sometimes I use reclaimed barn wood to make things. I rarely buy wood for projects and really enjoy creating beauty from wood that was considered trash and destined for the fire pit or compost pile. I believe it's the ultimate 'up-cycling'.
