This artisan hand turned wood bowl is made from a Utah Ash tree.  The wood for this bowl came from a friend’s yard in Layton, UT.  When he bought his house, the yard was completely overgrown.  He removed several trees and let me take any wood that I wanted.  Any wood that did not go home with me went into the firewood pile.

This medium sized bowl has beautiful grain pattern.  You can see a couple places where a branch had been growing from the main part of the wood.  Turning the bowl in a way that left the branches visible adds to the character of this bowl.

This bowl is one of a kind.  Nothing I do is production work, so you will not find another piece on the website like this one.
