This handmade wooden crock is made from a Utah Birch tree. The majority of the wood I used during my first few years as a wood-turner came from a tree service in Salt Lake County. My friend Jason owned the tree service. Whenever he had wood that he thought looked interesting, he would call me. He allowed me to rummage through his wood pile before he ran all the wood through the shredder and sent it to the landfill. This piece came from my friend’s tree service.
This crock is a great holiday gift. It is one of kind and the only crock I currently have available.
